Coastal Family Health is excited to welcome Dr Melanie Wright in 2025.  

Dr. Melanie Wright is a dedicated GP registrar with a strong foundation in diverse medical disciplines, including general medicine, surgery, emergency care, paediatrics, and anaesthetics. She completed her Doctor of Medicine at Bond University in 2020 and has since gained valuable clinical experience at Sunshine Coast University Hospital, where she worked as a resident medical officer before commencing her general practice.

Dr. Wright has a particular interest in paediatrics, preventative health, and chronic disease management, areas where she strives to provide patient-centred and holistic care. She is passionate about empowering individuals to take control of their health and fostering long-term, positive health outcomes for patients of all ages.

In addition to her medical career, Dr. Wright is a dual Olympian and two-time Olympic Gold Medalist in swimming, experiences that have shaped her values of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance—qualities she brings to her practice every day. She is proud to serve the Sunshine Coast community and looks forward to building lasting relationships with her patients.
