Here at Coastal Family Health we pride ourselves in providing an excellent service to patients.This practice offers a range of expertise between a team of highly experienced male & female general practitioners. The Coastal Family Health team endeavour to provide a premium service, giving access to doctors who care, listen and give the time you need without the long wait that you may have experienced at other clinics. In fact our average wait time is under 10 minutes.

We strive to offer an excellent service to patients, and importantly, easy accessibility to the doctors. We are generally fully booked and when a patient doesn’t attend an appointment, it means another patient misses out. We want to continue this excellent service so please be mindful of other sick patients and give cancellation notice if you cannot attend your appointment. We keep record of all late cancellations & missed appointments, however each case is looked at individually especially for emergencies and extenuating circumstances. A minimum of 1 hour notice is required for cancellations.

If 3 standard appointments are missed by yourself and/or your dependents within a 12-month period a consult fee of $98 is charged. This is the cost of 1 standard appointment.

If 2 long appointments are missed by yourself and/or your dependents within a 12-month period a consult fee of $155 is charged. This is the cost of 1 long appointment.

These fees are non-rebatable through Medicare.

All patients are notified of our policy before they are charged, this happens when the second appointment has been missed. This is to make patients aware of the fee before it is charged, giving people the opportunity to notify us in the future for cancellations.
