Coastal Family Health is excited to welcome Dr Kate Hewett in 2025.  

Dr Kate Hewett is a compassionate and dedicated GP registrar who joined the Sunshine Coast community in 2019. With a Doctor of Medicine from Griffith University and a Bachelor of Medical Science from the University of Sydney, she has a strong academic foundation and years of clinical experience.

Dr Hewett began her medical career as a junior doctor at the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service, gaining valuable experience across a variety of specialties including emergency medicine, cardiology, paediatrics, and palliative care. In 2024, she transitioned to general practice, where she enjoys building long-term relationships with her patients and delivering personalised, high-quality care.

Dr Hewett is passionate about helping individuals and families achieve their best possible health outcomes and looks forward to continuing to support her patients in living healthier, happier lives.
